ClearQuran Downloads

These Quran files are free to use, store, convert, and distribute, including in commercial projects. No permission is required. Just keep the translation's wording unchanged and credit the source.

How to credit: "Translation by Talal Itani, ClearQuran.com." A link to ClearQuran.com is appreciated. The credit doesn't need to appear next to every verse. One mention in a reasonable place is enough, such as an app's About screen, a video's description, or a website's footer or credits page.

For details, see License & Usage below.

License & Usage

The ClearQuran files are released under the Creative Commons Attribution-NoDerivatives 4.0 International License (CC BY-ND 4.0).

As the copyright holder, I also grant these additional permissions. You may reformat, convert, and edit the text and audio files for your project. For example, you can save them in other formats, change the layout, split long verses, quote selected verses, cut or rearrange audio, or combine them with other content. The one condition is that you don't change, add, or remove any words of the translation, and you include the credit.

Note on older files: Some readme files included with earlier downloads refer to a non-commercial license (CC BY-NC-ND). That license has been replaced. Commercial and non-commercial use are both allowed without permission, and this page takes precedence over any older readme.
